So, I have just realised this is my third post about Rimmel products, oops! I guess I really do love them!
This time it is all about their new Lasting Finish Breathable Foundation and matching concealer. Now, I am not one for changing my foundation once I find a favourite so I was a bit reluctant about trying this one out.
I had tried the Lasting Finish foundation before I wasn’t too keen on it, but this new version of it is ‘breathable’ so I was hoping for better things.
I was sent out my shade (100 Ivory) and the matching concealer (100 Fair). The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a wand applicator. This is something that I totally love. My usual foundation is a pump so was nice to test out something a little different. I just brush the wand across my face and then use a buffing brush to blend it into my skin. The formula is super light weight so was slightly concerned with the coverage but actually was really surprised. It is a light to medium coverage but is so easy to build upon. I have found that one layer is enough across my face with just a little extra on my cheeks to cover up redness a little better.
The concealer on the other hand I’m not so sure about yet. I am certainly more of a crayon concealer kind of gal so wasn’t so sure of the liquid concealer in this range. It comes in a little tube with a sponge applicator to blend it in. I am quite enjoying that the products come with applicators, which means less brush cleaning for me! This concealer is definitely more of a cover up for spots and blemishes rather than for under eyes. For me personally it isn’t quite light enough for my under eyes, but overall it does a good job. I am not sure that I would buy it when it runs out – I’m too much of a fan of my concealer crayons!
Overall, I am really impressed with this new pair from Rimmel. The foundation is perfect for daytime wear, especially if you don’t like the feeling of lots of make up on your face. The formula is really lightweight and long lasting, its certainly one I will be keeping in my collection. I think if you are a liquid concealer fan than you would really love this new concealer, its just not my thing!
**These products were sent to me free from Rimmel London and Influenster, but all thoughts, opinions and pictures are my own.**
